for Swarovski, Nikon, Pentax, Leica, and Zeiss spotting scopes.

Swarovski ATS-65 HD shown coupled to a Nikon 5700 with MaxView-S
MaxView-S shown with eyeguard in place for visual use
The MaxView-S is a special variant of our award winning MaxView 40 product. It has a different focal point and a Swarovski twist-lock bayonet mount to work specifically with the Swarovski spotting scopes. The MaxView-S is a wide field eyepiece that uses a special cell and long eye relief to reduce vignetting to a minimum, its built in "T" thread allows it to be adapted to dozens of digital cameras. The MaxView is not a zoom eyepiece, instead it is designed to get the most from the zoom on your camera. This gives much better results than trying to shoot through a zoom eyepiece and gives you a much larger zoom range. The MaxView-S is "T" threaded on top so you will need the appropriate Attachment Kit to mount it to your camera. MaxView-S can also be used as a low power wide field eyepiece providing a field of view a full 50% wider than the 20-60 zoom at wide angle! A removable flip down rubber eyeguard, and a storage bottle are included.
Specifications: Focal Length = 40mm, AFOV = 44 Degrees, Maximum Effective Eye Relief = 29mm (effective eye relief takes into account how deeply recessed the lens is mounted in the housing), Minimum Effective Eye Relief = Fully Adjustable, Barrel Size = 1.25", Thread Size = 42mm (Standard "T" thread), Coatings = Fully Multicoated (each air to glass surface has multiple anti-reflection coatings), Optical Design = 2 element/2 group
Please see our Attachment Kits for mating the MaxView-S to your brand of camera.

The MaxView is not a zoom eyepiece, instead it is designed to get the most from the zoom on your camera. Pentax PF80-ED coupled to a Nikon 995 with Wide Angle Adapter
These high quality 14mm and 18mm Wide angle lenses are also Nikon 28mm digital camera attachments. When used with the popular Nikon 990/995/4500 cameras you can use the full zoom range of the camera unvignetted. These eyepieces differ from the 14/18 WA units elsewhere on our page by having an extra lens which shifts the focal point to work properly in the Pentax spotters.
Specifications 14mm: Focal Length = 14mm, AFOV = 66.2 Degrees, Maximum Effective Eye Relief = 19mm (effective eye relief takes into account how deeply recessed the lens is mounted in the housing), Barrel Size = 1.25", Thread Size = 28mm, Coatings = Fully Multicoated (each air to glass surface has multiple anti-reflection coatings), Optical Design = Wide Angle 5 element/4 group

Uni-T™ Adapter
These digital camera adapters will fit many odd optical devices. Great for microscopes, borescopes, .96" eyepieces, large spotting scope eyepieces, etc. The six nylon thumbscrews won't mar the finish. The 1.5" Uni-T can handle eyepieces with an outside diameter from .25" to 1.5". The 2.5" Uni-T can handle eyepieces with an outside diameter from 1.5"-2.5". Both Uni-T sizes are "T" threaded on top, you will need the appropriate step rings or adapters to connect it to your camera (see our Attachment Kits). Tip: If you always use the same eyepiece you can quickly and easily remove/install your Uni-T by always using the same upper and lower screw. Once adjusted the first time, the adjustment will stay the same.

Note: Your results and the amount of vignetting (darkened edges) you get depends mainly on the eyepiece you use. Not all eyepieces work well for this purpose. The larger your camera lens (diameter) the more important it becomes to use a well matched eyepiece. If your camera has a large diameter lens you should look at our special MaxView line of eyepieces designed specifically for this purpose (see above). We make MaxView eyepieces in 1.25", 2", and special spotting scope versions to fit Swarovski, Leica, Zeiss, Nikon, Pentax, and more! These eyepieces will greatly reduce the amount of vignetting when using cameras with large lenses.
