    This unique product solves two common ETX problems! It allows you to focus without the jitters and allows you to easily reach the focus knob even when the OTA is parallel with the forks! Since the new ETX operates in Alt-Az mode there is a very large portion of the sky overhead where it can be difficult to reach the focus knob when viewing (unless you have fingers like chopsticks!). Don't let its extreme flexibility worry you, focus control remains fine and crisp with no backlash or rubbery feeling, the flexible shaft is extremely rigid on its rotational axis and provides excellent focus control. Installs in seconds with the included wrench. No jitters, easy access even with the OTA vertical, fine control, and all at a fraction of the cost of an electric focuser! This is the original ETX Flexible Focuser, thousands sold to satisfied customers since 1997! Beware of cheap imitations that use plastic knobs and cheap stiff cables. We use cnc machined solid aluminum knurled knobs and the finest quality rubber coated spring steel cable available so you can be assured of easy crisp focusing action with a minimum of transmitted vibration.

NEW! ScopeTronix 4 in 1 Multi-Mate Alignment Tool

   The ScopeTronix Multi-Mate is four handy devices in one compact inexpensive unit. Great for quickly and accurately placing your ETX or LX90 in "home" position. Simply insert the Multi-Mate into your eyepiece holder and use the large bubble level to quickly and accurately level your optical tube. Then just flip it over and swing the tube around until the oil damped compass points North. It doesnt get any easier than that! But its utility doesn't end there. When your scope is in storage it also acts as a dust seal. In addition the Multi-Mate contains a replaceable bag of desiccant to protect your scope in storage. The desiccant draws moisture out of your OTA through small holes around the compass and traps it in the desiccant chamber. This helps prevent damage due to moisture and mold formation on the optics. The Multi-Mate is precision machined from solid aluminum to assure accurate readings, and finished in a black anodized coating to match your scope.

JMB "Identiview" Solar Filters

90mm (SF90), 5" (SF5), and 8" (SF8) models shown.

    JMB Identiview filters are high quality glass filters. We carry only the Class "A" filters which are coated with a highly scratch resistant layer of steel. They are a little less expensive, they also include a cleaning cloth. They are also guaranteed for as long as you own them. With these filters the Sun is presented in a pleasing natural color. We have carried these filters for some time now and I am very pleased with the quality, construction, and consistency of the coatings.

Meade ETX Aluminum Hard Carry Cases

    These Meade hard cases are specifically designed for the ETX telescopes. They come complete with foam padding that's already pre-cut to fit your telescope and accessories like a glove! Cutouts are provided for the telescope and base, three eyepieces, the #494/497 Autostar hand controller, a 45° Erecting Prism, the #64 T-Adapter, a T-Ring, a slot for the optional tripod legs (or can be used for cables), and there are two cutouts provided for your other accessories - one is the same size as the 45° Erecting Prism cutout and the other is twice as wide. Great for storing cables or a power supply or the like! The two latches can be locked with an included key.

SmartAstronomy's SmartCase

   SmartAstronomy's Smartcase is designed to protect the Autostar controller keypad from dirt, dust, and moisture from dew. Microscopic dust and dirt will find its way inside your Autostar controller causing the keypad to have slow response or no response. Moisture from dew also becomes a major factor in keypad commands. Damage of the controller housing and circuts from accidental falls can also occur. The Goto telescope depends on the commands sent from the AutoStar Keypad. If the Autostar controller doesn't work, neither will your telescope! The SmartCase is fully padded for protection against impact and all materials are waterproof to protect against moisture from dew. The transparent front allows the display to read easily, and maintains the feel of the keypad in all temperatures. The SmartCase fits Autostar models #494,495,497 for use with all Meade LX series scopes, ETX scopes, and LXD55 scopes.

Meade #546 AC Adapter for ETX-60/70

This AC adapter has a 9V type battery clip that allows you to attach it directly to the battery connection on your ETX-60/70. Now you can run your telescope from a convenient wall outlet or from a 12VDC to AC power inverter.

    These cords allow you to connect your Autostar to your PC. This will allow you to update the software in your Autostar using the program on Meade's website. You can also connect to programs like Chris Marriot's excellent SkyMap Pro. Then you can simply click on a detailed star map and the ETX-EC/AT will automatically slew to your choice.

NOTE: Blue tube ETX-60 & 70AT's require the Meade #506 computer cord on our ETX-60/70 Accessories page. The CCRD9 is compatible the ETX90EC/AT, 105EC/AT, 125EC/AT as well as the original BLACK tube ETX-60/70AT that Meade released (the Black tube model came with the #497 AUTOSTAR).
