    Meade #884 Deluxe Field Tripod The #884 Deluxe Field Tripod is just the thing if you want to stand up and view through your 60AT, 70AT, ETX-90, ETX-105, or ETX 125. It is constructed of strong, lightweight steel. The height of the tripod adjusts from 25-43 inches, allowing you to view while standing or sitting. A graduated scale for elevation angle from 20 degrees to 90 degrees permits precise polar alignment of the telescope for astronomical applications. The tripod tilts and locks at 90 degrees for terrestrial applications, or for altazimuth use with the Autostar. Your telescope will attach to the tilt plate in seconds with two thumb screws. A padded carry case is included with this purchase. It is made of heavy-duty cordura-type fabric, zippers shut, and has carry handles. A internal zipper pouch holds the tripod's spreader bar.

Meade #882 Field Tripod
for the ETX-60AT & 70AT

    Designed exclusively for the ETX-60AT & 70AT telescopes, the #882 Field Tripod includes all the rigidity and stability required for high-power astronomical observing. The lightweight aluminum #882 Tripod permits altazimuth (vertical-horizontal) alignment of the telescope and easily adjusts for standing or seated observations through the telescope. Each tripod includes an accessory shelf to hold eyepieces and the Autostar hand controller and is packed in a rugged Cordura-type carry bag for transport in the field.

   Designed by Meade engineers, these isolation pads reduce typical telescope-tripod vibrations damping times to less than one second. A tremendous aid for both visual and photographic astronomy. Place one pad under each tripod leg. Set of three.

Celestron Tripod for NexStar 5" and 8"

   This adjustable height tripod is designed to work in an altazimuth mode with the Celestron NexStar 5, 8, and 8i telescopes. It has tubular chromed steel legs for stability and a combined die cast spreader bar/accessory tray that is cut out to hold two 2" eyepieces and four 1.25" eyepieces. The spreader bar is spring loaded, so that it can't detach from the tripod. An adapter plate on the top of the tripod has recessed areas that position the rubber feet on the scope base so that the bolt holes on the top of the tripod accurately line up with the holes in the base of the scope to make assembly easier.

Celestron Vibration Suppression Pads

   Telescope and spotting scope vibration is caused by windy conditions, an unsteady mount or tripod or even an accidental bump to the instrument, and results in reduced image quality. Celestron's set of three Vibration Suppression Pads will reduce vibration time by almost 100% and decrease vibration amplitude. The pads fit between the bottom of the tripod legs and the ground, a simple and functional solution to the problem of image disturbance. They work on any surface: grass, dirt, concrete, asphalt, wood, etc., for both telescopes and spotting scopes.
